Thirty thousand years after the death of the Plaguesmith, the ancient warlord's greatest creations continue to wage war against the Celestial Empire. In sector after sector, the swarms of the Plague Lords battle Her Majesty's forces, laying waste to entire systems in their titanic struggles. Now, as the battles draw ever closer to the sector of Sundered Harmony, the leading lights of the sector gather in a great Myriadic Council, empowered by word of the Empress Herself. The dictates of this council will be binding across the entire sector, with no power but Hers to overturn them. With this awesome power at their fingertips, it will be for the attendees of this Myriadic council to save, or damn, the sector they call home.
Long Description
Myriad is a hard(ish) sci-fi LARP set in the galaxy of Lakh.
The Celestial Empire extends even to the furthest lights of the galaxy, ever-challenged but never matched, ruled by Her Immortal Majesty the Celestial Empress, Watcher of the Void and Lady of Endless Constellations. Her right and left hands, the Imperial Bureaucracy and Voidstalker Corps, manage the endless reaches of Her empire on Her behalf. Ruling over the innumerable Holdings in Her shadow are the Governors and their officers, battling one another for supremacy, and everyone else for survival. Most citizens of the galaxy have little awareness of the greater empire, and absolutely no say in its workings. Indeed, many planets are entirely ignorant of the fact that they are ruled over by a powerful, long-lived, Governor, and believe themselves to be the only humans in the entire galaxy.
In an empire that spans a galaxy, one Holding can be as small as a single Generation Ship or as large as a Constellation of city-worlds. Players will become the Governors, Officers and Independent Powers of Holdings scattered across the sector, balancing their own ambitions with the needs of the lives in their care. You might become the representative of a great power, manipulating and collaborating with other Holdings and Powers to shape the galaxy, changing the fate of trillions. Perhaps you'll look on the face of the Endless Empire and refuse to submit, becoming one of the traitors and heretics who plot revolution. Or maybe you'll lose control of your own destiny, seized by forces so much larger and stranger than you that you can barely attempt to name them.
