This Is Not A Vampire LARP
A game about humans who think they are vampires.
Long Description
You are a human being. You live in a suburban house and have a boring day job. But by night, a new side of you awakens. Or at least that’s what you, members of the Bridgeport Order of Blood (BOOB), tell each other. You are a member of New England’s third-largest Real Vampyre Society. You are navigating this spoooooooky, bloody night-side community of old goths, fighting each other for clout, recognition, and a place on the Vampyric Council.
Bob, aka Asmodeus Abyss, The High Magister who leads the Vampyric Council and Court as a whole, has just moved to Florida so he could go to Disney World every day, leading to a power vacuum in the BOOB Court. There also is a long-standing rivalry against Bridgeport Underground Nocturnal Society (BUNS), slowly simmering just below the threshold of an all-out vampire war.
Tonight, you dance, drink, feed, and vote on a new Vampyric Council. What will the night bring for these edgy New Englanders?
Tone This is a game that blends humor and satire about people you'd find at a goth club with the politics and intrigue of Vampire: the Masquerade. You can play a character who's more of a blatant joke (such as a guy who believes he's descended from Dracula himself), a character that's written as more of a straight-faced political character within this setting (such as somebody trying to broker a peace treaty between the two rival Vampyre Courts), or a character who's somewhere in-between. This game is not intended to be super-intense or grim, but despite it's goofier premise and setting, is still a game with some elements of political intrigue and themes of power in group dynamics. While the premise is satirical, the characters, in-game, are (mostly) (un)dead serious about being vampires, and not being LARPers.
