Long Description

Everyone in Silverdale knows about the five heroes who came together to save the world. Brought together by destiny, they forged unbreakable bonds as they grew from backwater nobodies to legendary warriors. In their adventures, they overthrew the Dark Lord, destroyed the Harp of Ending, and saved every one of us from certain doom.

At least, that’s what the defense will tell you.

The truth is that these five adventurers return to Silverdale not as heroes, but as wanted criminals. What they call an “adventuring campaign” was, in reality, the world’s most egregious crime spree, a campaign of theft, fraud, and murder that terrorized half the continent.

Now, the accused will call themselves a rogue, a cleric, a barbarian, a mage, and a ranger. But I say we call them what they really are: a thief, a cult leader, a vandal, a grave-robber, and a serial killer.

Over the course of this trial, you will learn how they repeatedly violated the laws of our city, the laws of common decency, and yes, even the laws of phyiscs.

And when we're done, I hope you’ll agree with me, that the only reward these “heroes” deserve is to spend the rest of their lives in prison.

Trial of the Silverdale Five is a comedy fantasy mock-trial LARP, about a typical adventuring party that finds themselves suddenly accountable for the laws they broke in the course of saving the world. PCs will play single roles, as defendants, lawyers, or judges.

Witnesses will take on a horde role — they'll take turns stepping out to play witnesses, victims, and accusers. They'll also get to heckle and cheer on the trial as members of the audience.

Expect some departures from “real life” mock-trials, as the Silverdale legal system has a few quirks of its own.

Knowledge of Dungeons & Dragons is absolutely not necessary to play the game, although it might make some of the jokes funnier.
