Long Description
We often lump LARP creation together as a single "writing" process, but there are really at least two aspects to that:
- Designing it (coming up with plot webs, factions, and other such outlines).
- Actually writing character sheets, bluesheets and other such final text.
In this roundtable, we will talk about the different ways to handle this process, and explore questions such as:
- Do different approaches work better for different sizes of games?
- How does the game concept affect the process?
- What are the benefits and drawbacks of different approaches?
- Do you iterate between designing and writing, and if so, how do you manage it?
- What other dimensions are there in the game-creation process, and how do they fit in?
We are going to try to avoid side-tracking too much into the thousand different aspects of creating a game, and mainly focus on the details of the creative process, and how different teams approach it.
