Long Description
Yo-ho-ho, and a magnetic bottle of He-3.
Come enjoy a night at Terebellum Station, far from habitable planets and just off the major trade routes, known "in the business" for its neutral ground, ample opportunities, and Marga's excellent martinis. Pirates, mercenaries, and others wanted by the Interstellar Peacekeepers have met here for decades to adjudicate disputes, discuss business, put in for repairs, or simply put up their feet. Anything can be bought or sold on Terebellum.
Marga's is a little place on the upper decks famous for good drinks and good company - and no fights that break the furniture. Best of all, Marga's is a place for stories from all over the known universe, open to hopeful young void sailors and bejeweled corsairs alike.
This game will be about telling stories in the golden age of space piracy - the primary mechanic of the game will be based on reputation, and the primary way you get reputation is by impressing your fellow ne'er-do-wells with tales of your daring (and profitable) exploits. Some players will be cast as great captains with impressive ships (or even fleets), seeking ever-greater laurels and the allegiance of skilled crewmen; others will be trying to find their way aboard any ship that will take them; yet others will be captains without a ship, or perhaps even Peacekeeper agents in disguise.
The game may contain light supernatural themes, but our primary inspiration is golden age science fiction. For a good idea of the feel, look up songs like Ballad of a Spaceman , The Terrific Centrifugal Still , and Dawson's Christian on Youtube. Players should be comfortable with adult themes (and over 18).
