Long Description
Livescreamer is an open-ended horror Zoom LARP about livestreaming and what people do when they're anonymous on the internet. One player plays a livestreamer on video, while everyone else interacts through Zoom chat and personal messages and potentially audio as either a human viewer or a supernatural haunt targeting the streamer. Contains a mashup of elements from secrets and powers LARP, American Freeform LARP, and party games like Werewolf and Mafia. Itβs inspired by the movie Unfriended, the board game Betrayal at House on the Hill, Twitch livestreaming culture, and the LARP Long Time Listener, Last Time Caller.
Players will need to be able to switch back and forth between Zoom and Google Docs. Players will also be expected to read through the rules document and fill out some elements of a character sheet in the weeks before play. A few elements of character creation and connections will be done during the game slot, as well as a brief rules clarification, which shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes. Depending on how many players sign up, the gameplay itself will take between 1 and 3 hours, but could take up the full slot if people really get into it.
There are also a number of NPC/observer slots for those who want to either watch or interact with the game without having a role with abilities.
