Bottled Emotions

by Anne Ratchat

Magic is little known in the modern day, but you have found it. You and your friends, all with something to live for, made a pact to live forever - the only cost, your emotions. The pact is sealed and successful. The question remains, with emotions now a limited resource shared amongst all, what in life is worth living and feeling?

Long Description

Magic is little known in the modern day, but you have found it. You and your friends, all with something to live for, made a pact to live forever - the only cost, your emotions. The pact is sealed and successful. The question remains, with emotions now a limited resource shared amongst all, what in life is worth living and feeling?

Bottled Emotions is a 4-person blackbox larp set around a table and a bottle of "wine" - though we will be working together to pick a good non-alcoholic alternative. Players play the liches they have become as time progresses and their reasons to live get achieved, all while sipping away at the bottle to feel any drops of emotion left from once being human.

This game is still in early playtest so play is roughly 3-4 hours from prior playtests but remains to be seen. Play itself may present a bit dissociated from the way that players hide their emotions for the majority of play but emotional intimacy is developed from the shared resource management of those emotions. In a society where so many emotions are labeled as "positive" and "negative", players are invited to make the determination themselves of which emotions are most important to them.

No costuming or preparation needed for this game. Workshopping is light and focuses on calibration and safety between players.
