The mission promised to be a quiet one of planetary surveying and exploration but fate has different plans. Will our intrepid crew be able to navigate these unforeseen circumstances or will the “UWA Whatley ” be lost? Tune in to find out!

Gameplay: Stellar Front: Border Encounter is a structured freeform LARP that uses an accelerant-lite system for boffer combat for physical resolution as well as a timed turn-based tabletop game for space combat. The game is heavily influenced by the computer games FTL and Space Team and has a pulp sci-fi aesthetic. The game will run for 3-4 hours and have a rules and gameplay briefing. A mid-game break will provide a few minutes of respite for rehydration and use of the restrooms. Players will sign up to play one of the roles on the ship, each of which specialize in a specific aspect of the game, however this specialization does not prevent players from engaging with all aspects of the game. Also while all players might find themselves in melee combat the Marine role is most likely to be the most involved in combat.

Physical Restrictions: live boffer combat- can be modified for disabilities The fast paced and hectic nature of the space battle mechanic can make it difficult for people with processing issues at times.

Character Creation: Players will be encouraged to create their own character within the settting and fill out a player/character survey. A player can also request the staff to create a character for them. The staff will use both the player surveys and character concepts to customize the skills that each player has.
