Alpha Team - Mission Dossier

Operation Name: OPERATION ZERO HOUR

Mission Details:

Ouroboros SPD(Special Project Division) lost contact with the Daedalus Complex at 0500 hours. The last transmission before the feed was cut from the communications hub in the [REDACTED] laboratory was that of panic and gunfire. Signals from the complex indicate that the Condition-Ultraviolet contingency has been activated and that the failsafe warhead will detonate in T-4 hours from your team’s projected arrival time. Your mission is simple: Determine what the threat to the facility is, neutralize it and stop the thermonuclear device. In the event that the failure is too catastrophic or you are unable to stop the Condition-Ultraviolet detonation, you are to recover Ouroboros property (including staff and materiel) including intel on the disaster and escape the facility before it vaporizes. Good luck soldiers, and remember: everytime you step foot in the field you represent the finest Ouroboros Security in the world. Make us proud, Alpha Team and avoid the zero hour on that clock.

Mission Objectives:

Primary - Determine the threat to Daedalus Complex and Neutralize it before Condition-Ultraviolet detonation.

Secondary - Recover intelligence on emergent threat and recover Ouroboros personnel and material from Daedalus Complex before detonation.


Zero Hour is a four hour Heroic Horror Nerf Gun/Boffer LARP using the Accelerant System. PCs will play the roles of Alpha Team, a crack squad of Corporate Security Soldiers, and Daedalus Complex Civilians. Their goal is to investigate and gather intelligence on the situation in which the complex has gone into a mysterious security lock-down. This game is designed to run for exactly 4 hours, with a 4 hour timer representing the “Condition-Ultraviolet Contingency Countdown” before the facility is completely destroyed and all within are killed. During the runtime, the PC’s will have choices of multiple game locations they can go to over the course of the 4 hours to investigate the facility and the game world will change as time marches on, ensuring that every run will have different outcomes and “paths” the players can take. While this game is designed to be a “heroic” horror game, character death during play is possible and the stress of a “Condition-Ultraviolet Contingency Countdown” is ever present, so please be mindful of this when considering our game.
