Willy Wrong-a: A Fiasco in Glasgow
Well, here you are, arriving at work on opening day of your latest acting gig, at the “Magical Chocolate Factory Experience” in Glasgow, Scotland in February 2024. You’ve spent the last few weeks rehearsing in the rehearsal space, while the actual event space was being set up. Yesterday was your dress rehearsal in the actual event space, and you have some grave concerns. The event space is an abandoned warehouse that the event company has unsuccessfully attempted to jazz up using cheap props that you could find at any children’s birthday party. Speaking of cheap, your costume looks like it was bought on sale at Spirit Halloween. You’re being paid just over the legal minimum wage for this gig, while the event company pockets most of the money from the high ticket prices. Looking around, this event is definitely not worth what people have paid to attend. The AI-created advertisement photos depicted a whimsical wonderland, which is nothing like what you see around you. You suspect that when customers start to show up, they are going to be MAD.

“Glasgow Fiasco” is a comedic slice-of-life shitpost of a game based on the real-life Glasgow Willy Wonka Experience disaster of February 2024. Gameplay will be split between “backstage” and “onstage.” Periodically, players will leave the “backstage” area to go “onstage” for their scene and interact with guests (NPCs). Depending on what has been unfolding in the break room, maybe some tensions will spill over. Who knows? At the end of the game, each player will need to decide for themselves if they’re quitting, or showing up to work again tomorrow…provided the experience does not get shut down.
The main goal of this game is hilarity and fun, so players are encouraged to “yes-and” whatever will create the funniest experience for everyone.
All characters are written to be gender-neutral, as none of the plot points hinge on a character being a certain gender. Therefore, all character sheets are written using they/them pronouns. Each player can decide on their own character’s gender and pronouns. The romantic/sexual relationships between some characters can be straight relatioships or queer relationships, depending on what gender each player decides on.
