These young ladies are the top of their class, their beauty and charm grace the school and enthrall the hearts of many of the girls at the academy. This past term has been rocked with courtship and partings, friendships forged and shattered, hearts joined and broken, and explosive rivalries declared. One final tournament, La Couronne du Jardin, will determine the ranks between these ladies. Local legend says that facing off against your opposée très parfaite - very perfect opposite - in the final bout will guarantee true love and a happily ever after.

The end of term approaches at the Blossoming Academy - L'Academie Fleurissons - and with it, all the stories of the term must come to a crescendo. The academy is an odd and unique one. It is nestled away in the countryside, far from prying eyes and public life. The all-girls school teaches young ladies important lessons in life and in love. Among the students, at the top is a court - a Queen of the class, and her attendant Princes and Princesses. Some girls have found love, others have loved and lost, and friendships and relationships alike have been forged and broken under the blooming boughs of the gardens. The girls of the academy, most of all the social elite of Les Mademoiselles - the Ladies of the Fencing Club, will very soon need to come to terms with their hearts. Will their hopes be dashed to a million pieces, or their affections be returned?

The end of the semester is crowned by La Couronne du Jardin, a tournament grander than any other of the year. Local legend insists that, if you can find her, facing off against your opposée très parfaite - your very perfect opposite - in the final bout will guarantee true love and a happily ever after for the two of you. But how will you find her?

The girls will fence and practice and gossip and confess, as they are wont to do. Friends will help friends and rivals will compete for love and glory. And maybe, just maybe, find true love in the process.

The Bout and the Brevity: Lesbian Fencing Club is a 3-hour game for 12 players about young ladies dueling and falling in love with one another as they cross swords. It is a plot-light, high-emotions, over-the-top game inspired by shojo anime and the fact that dressing up pretty and playing out homoerotic duels can be a lot of fun. Players should expect dramatic confessions, broken hearts, and the hunt for true love all against the backdrop of way, way too many flowers.
