After a remote space station explodes, a small ship picks up two escape pods. Together, the survivors must figure out what happened and how to get to safety.

AFFIRMATIVE! A Star Wars LARP is an emotion driven game with about regular people facing their pasts and making choices about the future.

Space Station 7X64S is far enough out in the Unknown Regions that it has no strategic value for anyone, easily maintaining neutrality as no organization wants to bother controlling it. And what bounty is worth traipsing that far out? The station’s only selling point is neutrality - no one visits unless there is no other mutually agreed upon “safe” location.

But lately, rumors are swirling that have started to bring unusual traffic to the Space Station.

When you came out of hyperspace, things were bumpy. You saw roughly half a dozen other ships floating in space near the Space Station. You hear a recording that starts in basic before starting to cycle through other languages:

“Hello! Welcome to Space Station 7X64S. We are currently experiencing an unexpected asteroid storm. For your safety, your ship is being held in our tractor beam and landing is delayed. Please be assured that we will welcome you to Space Station 7X64S as soon as we can assure your safety.”

The recording repeats, over and over, for hours, until it’s interrupted by a burst of static.

Then, everything explodes around you.

You aren’t sure if you lost consciousness or not, but when you next look, the Space Station is gone. You hope your ship isn’t too damaged to jump somewhere safe, but if it is, you hope your escape pod is functional, and that there’s at least one reasonably friendly ship willing to pick you up…

AFFIRMATIVE LARP is set in the Sequel Trilogy Era, but there are characters with deep ties going back to the Imperial Remnant. If it were a whiskey, you’d detect strong notes of Andor (the events of Andor, Rogue One, and Star Wars Episode 1, A New Hope occur approximately 40 years before the time of this game). If you aren’t familiar with the Sequel Trilogy or it isn’t your favorite Star Wars, don’t let that deter you from playing. All characters are regular people - no one is famous or Force sensitive, although a few might have encountered someone somewhat famous or infamous. You do NOT need to be an expert on Star Wars, although more extensive lore knowledge can add flavor to roleplay, especially for certain roles.

The key is that the galaxy is at a point where the fight between the Resistance and the First Order is gearing up towards a final showdown.

Where mechanics are necessary, they’re designed to be as seamless and intuitive as possible. You might need to remember a trigger or condition to read a tag or card. In a few cases, you might encounter something where you’ll need to read a specific tag, which will be brief so you can use the information to continue with your roleplay. You might unscramble a message or figure out the code for a lock.

Don't worry about having Star Wars specific costuming. “Batuu bounding” (how people dress as their own characters to look in-universe when they go to the Star Wars areas of DisneyWorld or DisneyLand) can work for many characters. For plot reasons you won't see military uniforms or armor.
