Retired Ambitions

When a group of retirees gets lost in the woods, they cross paths with strange fae who take on the faces of their pasts and offer a chance to relive moments of their histories – and, perhaps, to make different choices this time.

Long Description

Life rarely offers second chances. The oldest among us know this best. Yet when a bickering group of over-the-hill adventurers from a retirement home become stranded in the woods, they find themselves crossing paths with strange fae who come bearing tricky gifts. When given a chance to relive moments from their past, will they change direction, affirm key decisions, show their best selves, and finally appreciate what they took for granted?

Retired Ambitions is a heartfelt LARP for 5 to 12 participants. Most players will portray retirees lost in a literal and metaphorical forest. The remainder will portray fae who use “horde LARP” mechanics to change constantly between characters from the retirees’ pasts. This is a cast-at-the-door/no-pre-game-prep LARP.
