The Death of Super-Hyphen-Man

A small LARP that uses superhero tropes to explore themes of identity, grief and legacy.

Long Description

This is a "mingle and cry" LARP, featuring serious parodies of mostly well known super heroes and villains. We will use well known, larger than life tropes, to explore serious issues

Super-Man, the most loved and powerful being in the universe, has died. He sacrificed himself to save us all. A pinnacle of good whose heroism is beyond a doubt. In his absence you can't help but question your own legacy. You are not a good person. You make mistakes. So how did you make the short list of people invited to the reading of Super-Man's will? How are your legacies intertwined? What choices do you still have left to make?

There are over 20 potential characters for this LARP, all with differing ages, interwoven histories, traumas, backstory lengths and costume needs. Every time the LARP is run it plays out differently because the combination of characters present is different. Most characters are based on 1-3 existing comic book characters, with unique smaller histories. You can be inspired by what you know, without being beholded to decades of comic book stories. The casting survey will help us determine the character that best suits your desires for this run.
