Long Description
It's 1985, and you've just boarded the midnight Greyhound in Los Angeles, bound for Las Vegas. The initial hours pass smoothly, allowing you to connect with fellow passengers. But as the night deepens, strange occurrences begin. A passenger is found murdered, and the killer is still on board! Not only that, but clues hint at a real-life vampire. Vampires don't exist, though... right?
This is a consent-based game similar to Nordic-style LARPs and is set on a 1985 Greyhound bus crossing the California and Nevada desert. Players embody pre-written characters, each with unique connections and secrets, as no one on this bus is quite what they seem. The game starts with players getting to know each other and building a sense of community. Then tragedy strikes: a passenger is murdered, and no one saw a thing. Paranoia mounts as players uncover clues about the murder—the who, what, why, and how—leaving no passenger above suspicion. Ultimately, players must collectively decide who is innocent and who deserves to be left in the desert sun.
Costuming is encouraged but not required, and should reflect both your character and the 1980s aesthetic. A suitcase or luggage is also encouraged.
This is a rules-light LARP with no combat or intimacy mechanics. This is a negotiated consent LARP where each player can settle character disagreements with OOC calibration and collaboration. Standard safety tools will be utilized. A brief workshop will cover rules and expectations, and provide an opportunity to meet pre-written connections before play begins. A short debrief will follow the game. No outside lore or prior knowledge is necessary. The game requires no physical activity; players may sit or stand as preferred. No food will be provided. Masks are optional but welcome.
Players will be notified of casting and other important information via email. The killer is pre-determined from the group of players, and will be obvious in your character info if you are selected for this role. There will also be a private discord server for players to connect with GMs and other players.
