😿 Can't Hug Every Cat

Work together to save every cat! Rescue feral strays, provide veternary care, and help build the perfect cat café. A relaxing game about playing with plushies and making up little stories for them.

TLDR: Work together with fellow feline devotees to save every cat you can!

• Rescue feral strays in various locations around town!

• Provide veterinary care to nurse sick cats back to health!

• Build the perfect café where cats can be comfortable and happy!

• Relax with cats as a patron, aid in their socialization and help the café grow!

At its core, this is meant to be a cozy game about playing with plushies and creating stories for the various cats. If possible we'll have beanbags and pre-packaged pastries. Ideally this should be a restful experience.

There will be goals and stakes, maybe even some big feelings if you're that kind of player, but at the end of the day everything is going to be mostly OK.

All players are "on the same side" but individual gameplay differs by role:

• Animal Rescuers (Core gameplay: "gotta catch em all!") - Visit various places "outside" and gain the trust of the feral strays that live there. Some will be more difficult than others, but you need to catch or trap every "outdoor cat" so they can receive care and rehabilitation.

• Veterinarian On-Site (Core gameplay: solving mysteries) - You have a small clinic in the back-room of the café, and provide routine medical care for all incoming cats. Certain conditions will be tricky to fully reveal, but solving this for each cat will be the key to getting them all healthy.

• Café Staff (Core gameplay: logic puzzles) - Build and manage the café, selecting the toys and furniture that will best help your cats to be comfortable and open to socializing with guests. Patrons will be able to provide hints in their reviews, but those are always a bit abstract.

• Café Patrons (Core gameplay: limited communication co-op) - As a regular here, you have your likes and dislikes but would never be so rude as to directly say what they are. Judge the café accordingly and be sure to update your review when you get home. Reduce stress by interacting with cats, they will become more friendly and sociable for it. Talk with other patrons or anybody else, there's many different ways you can help!

Finally, the additional gameplay available to everyone is playing with cute cat plushies. Every cat will have an associated "trait card" that describes their behaviors and personality. Once a cat is available in the café any player can pick up their plushie and act out what that cat is doing in the moment. (If nobody is acting with a given plushie that cat is asleep, naturally. They are cats after all.)
