Long Description

Mario is dead. You all were invited to the reading of his last will and testament - followed by a free cocktail hour - but one thing quickly became clear. Someone here is to blame for Mario's murder!

After all, Mushroom City isn't nearly ideallic as everyone makes it out to be. Old vendettes and values clash with new grudges and ever changing trends, business practices, and promises. And if the pressure builds enough to drive you to the bottle or a different kind of shroom, if tempers can flare to the extremes even among the best of friends, if the right incentive comes into play at the right time...

Then even the city's most beloved plumber isn't safe. Evidently.

Can all you invitees work together to unravel this murder mystery before the true culprit gets away with it all?

...

This is a silly, rules- and structure-lite murder mystery game that relies on conversation to gather clues rather than reading scripts or solving puzzles. Character sheets are under two pages, and players will have to respond to short questions before the start of the larp.

This game is (semi) grounded in reality/the characters are human interpretations of Mario characters. For example, the estate players gather in isn't a literal 1-to-1 of any game's version of Peach's castle, but an old money estate meets an elevated mushroom/cottagecore aesthetic, taking inspiration from Knives Out, The Westing Game, and Clue.
